Five-Step Procedure For Doing A Brazilian Bikini Wax At Home

Most women know that Brazilian-cut bikinis have very little fabric to them, and since so much skin is exposed, you will most likely want to remove much of your pubic hair that will show when you wear this type of bikini. It doesn’t matter if you’ll wear your bikini at the beach, a resort, while you’re on vacation, or in private. At some point, you’ll need to wax or shave those straggling hairs that are bound to show when you’re wearing a Brazilian bikini.

Some women shave that area, but many women would rather have a bikini wax since it lasts for up to three weeks, as opposed to two or three days after shaving. Regardless of which method you prefer, you need to get rid of any hair that the bikini’s fabric doesn’t cover up.

Doing a bikini wax at home saves money, but most women don’t know how to do it. Besides that, you might feel too shy or vulnerable to allow someone else to wax your sensitive and private area by going to a spa.

Home bikini wax kits can be purchased from online stores like Amazon, or retail Beauty Supply stores. One thing is for sure–there is some degree of pain involved whether you do your own bikini wax at home or if you have it done professionally. If you’ve never had a bikini wax procedure done before, you might be wondering how much pain you’ll experience and why. The easiest way to explain it is that the waxing process involves applying hot wax to strips of cloth that are then applied to your skin. Then the pieces of cloth are quickly stripped off (like removing a bandage). When the strips of cloth are yanked off your skin, your pubic hair gets pulled off with it. Ouch!

It’s recommended that you have a numbing spray or cream on hand before you attempt waxing at home, especially if your skin is ultra sensitive. It’s also not a bad idea to have a painkiller or extra strength aspirin on hand. You’ll also want to have some tissues handy in case you have to dab the tears that might spill from your eyes after you remove the hot wax strips.

Okay, so if all these pre-preparations haven’t scared you from attempting a Brazilian bikini wax at home, here is your five-step procedure.

1. With a scrubbing product that functions as an exfoliater, clean your skin thoroughly.

2. Then apply a thin dusting of baby powder to your skin to keep it dry.

3. Next, make sure you read the bikini waxing instructions carefully that were included in the at-home waxing kit. Make sure you understand the manufacturer’s guidelines.

4. Heat the wax as instructed in the kit’s directions. Apply the hot wax to the cloth strips, and then place the strips on the area where you want to remove your pubic hair. Make sure you stay within the time limits as recommended on the package, and then when the elapsed time is up, pull the strips off. You should repeat this process on each area where you want to remove the unwanted hair.

5. After completing the waxing process, apply Calamine lotion or baby oil to your skin. This lubricant will help soothe your sensitive areas.

Traditionally, a Brazilian bikini wax procedure removes all the hair from the bikini line, from the front to the back. This type of waxing process leaves you almost completely hairless. The good part, however, is that you won’t have to worry about wearing your Brazilian cut bikini with any exposed hair. Plus, it gets easier each time you do a Brazilian bikini wax at home.
